Our Story
Chabad of South Brunswick was established in 2002, to serve the Jewish community of the Brunswick area. Chabad of South Brunswick is a place where everyone is welcome.
There is no mystery about our philosophy: Love every Jew; educate every Jew; reach out to help every Jew. We open our arms and hearts to all, regardless of education or affiliation. Our sole purpose is to create a warm, welcoming environment to explore and experience Judaism's warm and relevant spiritual inspirations.
Since its inception, Chabad of South Brunswick strives to meet the needs of the community with religious services, and social events, as well as an array of programming including: Chabad Hebrew School, C-Teen, Adult Education classes, Jewish Business Network, Shabbat and holiday programs, Jewish Women's Circle, hospital visitations and Jewish Milestone ceremonies.
Chabad of South Brunswick is a local, independent and financially self-supporting entity. Every dollar that we receive comes from the generosity of people like you. We are a 501(c)(3) organization and your donations are fully tax deductible.
Meet the Azimov's
Rabbi Levi & Goldie Azimov moved to South Brunswick and founded Chabad of South Brunswick in 2002.
Prior to moving to South Brunswick, Rabbi Levi Azimov grew up in Jerusalem, Israel before pursuing studies in Jewish thought and practice in Brooklyn, Morristown and Florida, and received his rabbinical ordination from the Rabbinical College of America as well as from the Chief Rabbinate of Israel. His infectious optimism and joyful personality drives his commitment and dedication to his community.
Goldie Azimov was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and is a passionate educator, directing the Cheder Menachem Day School and Chabad Hebrew School. She also has exquisite taste which shines through all the spectacular events at Chabad she plans.
